Senior Product Manager, Billing & Marketplaces

A fast-growing, globally distributed database company is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a key area of its billing and cloud marketplace platform. Billing is how every product reaches customers and shows up in the company's financials. As new products and new ways to buy are added, the platform is being built to scale with them. You will report to the Director of Product Management for Billing and Marketplaces. This role is remote within the United States.

🎯 Role:

🔹 Own the roadmap, execution and launches for a key area of billing or marketplaces, such as metering and pricing, prepaid commit, or a cloud marketplace, working with engineering leads, Finance and Sales Ops

🔹 Scope features with engineering, turn them into a clear near-term roadmap and track them through to launch

🔹 Improve prepaid commit capabilities: customer-specific rate cards, contract changes and rollovers, balance visibility and spend alerts

🔹 Drive cloud marketplace integrations across AWS, GCP and Azure, including private offers, usage reporting and subscription linking

🔹 Improve payment and collections flows, including dunning and delinquency handling, so customers are billed accurately

🔹 Lead billing launches for new products and pricing models with Product Marketing, Sales and Support

🔹 Act as the subject matter expert on how customers are billed

📌 Requirements:

✅ 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years owning billing, metering, payments or commercial platforms for a cloud or usage-based product

✅ Solid understanding of usage-based pricing, prepaid credits and committed-spend contracts

✅ Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP or Azure marketplaces (private offers, co-sell, metering APIs)

✅ Familiarity with payments across card, invoice and marketplace channels, including dunning and delinquency

✅ Working knowledge of order-to-cash: invoicing, tax, multi-currency and revenue recognition

✅ Experience with billing and payment platforms such as Stripe or a usage-based billing vendor

✅ Track record of leading complex projects across engineering, Finance and go-to-market teams

✅ Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining billing concepts to non-technical audiences

📈 Bonus: experience at an infrastructure, database or developer-platform company, and comfort with event-driven architectures, data pipelines and SQL
