Special Education Teacher - Anoka, MN
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in Anoka, Minnesota school districts. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success in an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families
- Implement classroom accommodations and behavior intervention strategies
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications & Credentials
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) Special Education Teaching License
- Eligible to work as a Special Education Teacher in Minnesota public schools
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred
