Online Community Manager

Online Community Manager

Part-Time, Remote | 3–5 hours/week

About the RoleWe're looking for an Online Community Manager to own and grow our digital community presence. You'll be the voice behind our online spaces — keeping conversations going, welcoming new members, and making sure our community feels like a place people actually want to be.

This isn't a post-and-forget role. It's about real engagement: responding to comments, surfacing great content, and building genuine connections with the people who care about what we do.

What you'll do- Manage and moderate our online community platforms (forums, social channels, or Discord — depending on our setup)- Respond to member questions, comments, and posts in a timely, on-brand way- Spot trends in community conversations and flag relevant feedback to the team- Welcome new members and help them find their footing- Draft occasional community updates, announcements, or newsletters- Track basic engagement metrics and share a short weekly or monthly report

About you- You spend real time in online communities — you understand the rhythms, the norms, the unspoken rules- Strong written communication; you can match a tone and keep things clear without being stiff- Comfortable working independently with minimal check-ins- Good judgment on what to escalate vs. handle on your own- Familiarity with at least one community or social platform (Reddit, Discord, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, etc.)

Nice to have- Experience moderating an online community, even informally- Background in communications, marketing, or a related field- Basic familiarity with social analytics tools

What we offer- Flexible, remote work — 3 to 5 hours per week, on your schedule- A chance to shape how our community grows from an early stage
