Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Intern

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Intern

Northern WV engineering firm seeks summer 2027 interns supporting and learning from a team of professionals providing services in both the public and private sectors; designing building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems and supporting infrastructure. Our team provides cradle to grave services to facility owners in new construction, renovation, and repair engineering. This position is a Professional Licensure (PE) track position, but not required to apply.

Education Requirements: Enrollment and successful progress in a BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering  ABET accredited program required.

Successful candidate will work alongside, and directly with, professional engineers and other designers as part of a design team in a positive, relaxed (Owner's lovable puppies come to work each day), office environment. Position requires independent work from day one, with critical thinking skills.  Intern will apply engineering principles learned in school to real world problems with instruction and monitoring from seasoned professionals. We solve facility owner's problems quickly and efficiently and can teach you to do so.  Engineer in Training will have direct involvement in projects during the internship including contact with clients. Candidate must be self-driven and excellent time management skills are a must.

“Hands-on” life experience in mechanical or electrical work, or construction is considered advantageous.  Very strong written and oral communication skills are required to interact within the office and with clients.

Demonstrated experience with computer aided design (AUTOCAD) or building information modeling (REVIT) software also beneficial.

Position is a full time temporary summer internship, compensation commensurate with experience.
