AI & Marketing Automation Specialist
About Us & Our Mission
We build and scale data-driven growth engines that connect modern businesses with their ideal customers. By combining cutting-edge marketing automation platforms with generative AI and real-time data pipelines, we replace manual outreach with high-converting, personalized customer journeys. Our hiring approach values transparent communication, measurable business outcomes, and practical proof-of-work over conventional resume buzzwords. If you enjoy engineering intelligent growth systems and scaling multi-channel campaigns, you will thrive on our team.
The Role: What You Will Accomplish
We are looking for an AI & Marketing Automation Specialist to design, build, and optimize end-to-end automated customer lifecycles. You won't just be sending batch email blasts—you will architect intelligent nurture flows, predictive lead-scoring models, dynamic hyper-personalization pipelines, and seamless CRM integrations across web, email, SMS, and messaging platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Automated Journeys: Design and execute complex multi-touch lead nurture campaigns, onboarding sequences, re-engagement flows, and churn-prevention automations.
- Integrate AI & Personalization: Leverage LLMs (OpenAI API, Anthropic) and dynamic content engines to deliver personalized messaging, email copy variants, and targeted recommendations at scale.
- Connect CRM & MarTech Stacks: Build robust API and webhook integrations between Marketing Automation Platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, ActiveCampaign, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud), CRMs, CDPs (Segment), and data warehouses.
- Optimize Lead Scoring & Routing: Implement automated lead scoring, attribution models, and instant sales-routing workflows to shorten sales cycles.
- Data Hygiene & Analytics: Monitor deliverability metrics (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), conduct systematic A/B split testing on messaging and triggers, and maintain clean database syncs across platforms.
- Collaborate Across Growth Teams: Partner with content creators, sales ops, and performance marketers to turn campaign strategies into automated technical execution.
Qualifications & Skills Must-Have Requirements (Essential)
- 3+ years of hands-on marketing automation experience utilizing major platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, ActiveCampaign, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- API & Webhook Proficiency: Strong understanding of connecting MarTech tools via REST APIs, Webhooks, and middleware (n8n, Make, Zapier, or custom endpoints).
- AI & Dynamic Content Integration: Demonstrated experience incorporating generative AI API calls or dynamic liquid tokens into marketing workflows for personalized outreach.
- Scripting & Data Management: Functional knowledge of Python or JavaScript/HTML/CSS for customization, along with strong SQL/spreadsheet data manipulation skills.
- Analytics & Attribution Focus: Deep familiarity with tracking parameters (UTMs), conversion pixel tracking, A/B testing methodology, and deliverability best practices.
- Clear Communication: Ability to translate complex lead-flow logic into visual process maps and clear documentation for stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Segment or RudderStack.
- Working knowledge of web scraping, enrichment APIs (Clearbit, Apollo), or reverse-ETL tools (Hightouch, Census).
- Background in compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM) and email deliverability engineering.
Evaluation Process: Practical Proof-of-Work
To counter AI-generated resume noise and ensure a fair, skills-first evaluation, our hiring process focuses on practical competency:
- Initial Application Review: Evaluation of past automation campaigns, flow diagrams, or technical portfolio examples.
- Practical Work-Sample Assessment: A short, scenario-based assignment where you map out and design a simple personalized lead-nurturing automation flow.
- Technical & Strategy Conversation: A discussion covering your system architecture choices, deliverability troubleshooting, and data hygiene methodologies.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks
- Competitive Base Salary: $105,000 – $145,000 USD / year, benchmarked against global market data.
- Location Freedom: 100% remote work structure with flexible working hours.
- Continuous Growth Stipend: $1,500 annual budget for courses, conferences, MarTech certifications, and AI tool subscriptions.
- Tech & Workspace Allowance: Choice of modern laptop hardware plus a home office setup allowance.
