**ITS14 - Build & Release Specialist**Lansing, Michigan | Hybrid | Full-Time

The Build & Release Specialist owns the machinery that gets code from a developer's branch into production — reliably, repeatably, and without drama. You'll sit at the intersection of development and operations, keeping the pipelines humming and releases on track.

**What you'll do**

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that drive automated builds, testing, and deployments- Manage branching strategies and version control workflows in Git- Coordinate and execute releases across dev, staging, and production environments- Troubleshoot build and release failures — fast — and drive resolution with engineering teams- Write and maintain build scripts, automation tooling, and deployment configurations- Own release governance: change management documentation, release notes, rollback procedures- Partner with developers, QA, and infrastructure to improve delivery speed and reliability- Track build and release health metrics and push continuous improvement

**About you**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field- 3+ years in a build, release, or DevOps engineering role- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools — Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps- Solid Git fundamentals and version control workflow experience- Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell- Comfortable with Docker or Kubernetes

Nice to have:- Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)- Exposure to cloud platforms — AWS, Azure, or GCP
