As a Nurse Extern, you will embark on a transformative journey with the VCU Health team and contribute significantly to patient well-being as well as your continued growth. You will have the opportunity to collaborate under the guidance of a skilled clinical team in both direct and indirect patient care activities.

*Note: This is a full-time summer externship for 10 weeks from May 24 until July 31.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Licensure, Certification, or Registration

  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent

Experience

  • REQUIRED: N/A
  • PREFERRED: Acute care experience as a patient care technician or equivalent position.

 

Education/Training

  • Completion of the first semester of one's junior year in a BSN program or completion of the first year in an ADN program
