Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Social Studies Teacher for a contract position in Cleveland, Ohio, for the remainder of the school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literacy, student engagement, and helping middle school students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with curriculum standards.




• Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.




• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.




• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.




• Implement effective classroom management strategies.




• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student achievement.




• Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic progress.

Qualifications

• Middle school ELA teaching experience preferred.




• Strong knowledge of literacy instruction and curriculum standards.




• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.




• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs.




• Appropriate teaching license or credentials, as required.
