ABOUT - WITH LOVE OREGON

With Love is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help foster families change the lives of children ages 0-6 by providing resources that nurture dignity, hope, and community. Our mission is possible thanks to a small staff and a large volunteer base.

At With Love, we recognize and value the racial, socio-economic, cultural, and developmental differences that shape both how children see themselves and how others receive them. We are invested in expanding our cross-cultural knowledge and skills to help build a more inclusive and equitable world. With Love is committed to supporting the unique needs of the diverse communities we serve through the goods we provide and the culturally responsive events we offer. We will continue listening and learning with love.

We care deeply about making With Love a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to bring their leadership skills forward to serve children and families with excellence.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Temporary Program Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment for staff and volunteers at With Love. As a donation-based program, we operate out of a 6,500-square-foot facility, where incoming and outgoing goods are carefully managed to support resource families with essential items.

As we continue to support an increasing number of resource families each year, this position provides essential assistance to the Program Team, supporting the day-to-day needs of the program for efficient workflow. This temporary role is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-driven team dedicated to making a difference. Ideal candidates are task-oriented, thrive with clear daily and weekly objectives, and bring a self-motivated, can-do attitude to their work.

This role involves hands-on, physical work that varies by season, events, and organizational needs, helping to process donations and purchases that support the program.

Greeting volunteers and community members with enthusiasm and excellent customer service is essential in this position. Working alongside dedicated volunteers and staff, this individual will support resource families in picking up their requested items and receiving in-kind donations from our generous community and partners.

During a set time period of staff leave coverage, this role expands to include volunteer coordination, taking on communications, scheduling, and event support. These planned, temporary periods are balanced with core warehouse and inventory responsibilities, which are scaled to essential tasks so the workload stays manageable, and you’ll have support from the team and existing volunteer systems.
