Psychology Internship - Summer 2026

Looking for a summer job that counts toward your career? We’re hiring fun, caring, energetic, hard-working college and graduate students to live, teach, and lead at Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods. Our program helps children build independence, make good decisions, and grow socially, and our staff grow right alongside them.

What you’ll do: Staff work in a dual role. You’ll live with and care for a group of campers ages 6–15, and you’ll teach in one of our nearly 60 activity areas including watersports, team sports, individual sports, outdoor adventure, performing and creative arts, and more. You’ll work closely with fellow staff and camp leadership to make every camper’s summer a great one.

What you’ll gain: Real experience planning and leading lessons, mentoring kids through challenges, resolving conflicts, and working on a close-knit team. These skills carry directly into careers in education, psychology, social work, recreation, and beyond.

Dates: June 4 – August 7, 2027

Compensation: Salary plus travel stipend. Housing, meals, Wi-Fi, and laundry are included. Internship credit is available, and we’re happy to work with your school’s requirements.

Qualifications: Ideal applicants have finished at least one year of college in a related field (education, psychology, social work, recreation, sports management, etc.) and have experience working with children, whether formal or informal.
