Data Intern

role overview

as a data intern, you will be responsible for overseeing our data management and ETL workflows. this includes refining our data pipelines, finding unique data sources to wire into our internal app, and overseeing the data visualizations used to support our quick growth. this is an all-purpose data role, where you’ll get direct experience with data engineering and general analytics. ideal candidates will have specific experience with ETL processes, causal inference, and programming.

REQUIREMENTS

what you will own

build new pipelines to account for our growing diversity of sales routes, customer bases, and other data sources
aggresively qa our current data ecosystem to ensure legacy processes are working effectively and meet ETL best practices
maintain our internal dashboard, building new KPI’s and visualizations as needed
identify unique methods for refining marketing strategies, maximizing user retention, and keeping users engaged with our product(s)
assist with experimentation design, implementation, and analysis (if desired)
oversee one large-scale analytical project to supplement your portfolio (if desired)

what we're looking for

significant experience with database design and ETL processes, particularly with SQL
experience with typescript/react/node.js is strongly preferred. applicants who are fluent in a different language but willing to learn are still encouraged to apply
strong attention to detail and ability to conduct aggressive data quality projects

also valuable, but not required

familiarity data visualization and dashboard fundamentals
experience using data in a product-focused business environment
a genuine passion for digital minimalism and ethical data use practices
