[Urgently Hiring] Math Tutor
E-PLEX is an education complex with multiple academic and enrichment programs in one facility which include afterschool, art, music, science, and private tutoring. E-PLEX is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for students to achieve academic success. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Math Tutor to join our afterschool program and help students build confidence and excel in their math skills.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in math to students in grades 1 - 8th grade.
- Assist students in understanding and solving problems in areas such as algebra, geometry, calculus, and general math concepts.
- Develop and adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Can clearly communicate and teach lessons effectively and easy to understand.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback the administrative staff and parents.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Collaborate with program staff to align tutoring sessions with school curricula and goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENT/ QUALIFICATION
- Must at least be a college student, or have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Math.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience working with students.
- Must commit to a 1 year of teaching at E-PLEX
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to commute to Diamond Bar
