Bach to Rock McKinney

Bach to Rock McKinney is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and dependable Music Instructor to join our team! We are seeking an instructor who can teach Voice, Piano, Guitar, and/or Ukulele to students of varying ages and skill levels.

This is a great opportunity for a musician who enjoys working with children, teens, homeschool students, and aspiring musicians in both private and group lesson settings.

About the Position

As an instructor at Bach to Rock McKinney, you will help students develop their musical skills, confidence, creativity, and performance abilities. Our instructors work with students in a fun, encouraging, and engaging environment while helping them reach their individual musical goals.

You may teach:

Private one-on-one lessons

Group music lessons

Homeschool music students

Beginning through advanced students

Children, teens, and other students interested in developing their musical abilities

Instruments & Areas of Instruction

We are particularly interested in instructors who can teach one or more of the following:

🎤 Voice

🎹 Piano / Keyboard

🎸 Guitar

🎶 Ukulele

Being able to teach multiple instruments is a strong plus, but applicants with expertise in one primary instrument are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Our teaching schedule includes both weekday and Saturday opportunities.

Homeschool Students:

Weekdays, approximately 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

After-School / Evening Students:

Weekdays, approximately 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Saturday Students:

Approximately 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

There may be flexibility in scheduling depending on instructor availability and student enrollment.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, age-appropriate music instruction

Teach private and/or group lessons

Prepare lessons based on each student's skill level and goals

Create a positive and encouraging learning environment

Help students develop technique, musicianship, confidence, and performance skills

Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the Bach to Rock team

Maintain a reliable and consistent teaching schedule

Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop a lifelong love of music

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong proficiency on voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, or multiple instruments

Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred

Experience working with children and/or teens preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Dependability and professionalism

A positive, patient, and energetic attitude

The ability to make music lessons fun and engaging

Formal music education is a plus, but demonstrated musical ability and teaching experience are highly valued
