Aftercare Assistant

Grace Beginning Academy - Eden Prairie

Part-time - 10 hours/week

Pay: $18.00/hour

Hourly - Non-Exempt

 

This is a part-time, school-year position (September–May) with a preferred schedule of 3:00–5:30 p.m.

Opportunities are available with three age groups:

  • Infants: 6 weeks–15 months
  • Toddlers/Junior Preschool: 16 months–2 years
  • Preschool/Pre-K: 3–5 years
     

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Beginnings Academy Aftercare Assistant Teacher is passionate about guiding and caring for 6 weeks–5-year-olds in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the aftercare staff and supports each child’s physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth. This role supports children and implements after-school activities.

  • Assist in implementing the aftercare schedule, including free play, outside time, activities and care for each child.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other aftercare staff.
  • Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential for this position.
  • Maintain licensing compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Educational requirements: 16 years old with high school credits or a diploma.
  • Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an aide/assistant.
  • Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
