The role
A Therapeutic Service Worker provides direct support and care to individuals receiving therapeutic services. This role works closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans and promote client wellbeing and independence.
What you'll do
- Provide direct, hands-on therapeutic support to clients in individual and group settings- Implement individualized treatment and behavioral intervention plans developed by clinical staff- Observe and document client progress, behaviors, and any notable changes in condition- Assist clients with daily living skills, social development, and community integration- Communicate regularly with supervisors, therapists, and other team members about client status- Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral crises using established protocols- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with agency and regulatory standards- Transport clients or accompany them to appointments, activities, or community outings when needed
About you
- Currently enrolled in or completed a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field- Genuine interest in working with individuals with mental health, developmental, or behavioral challenges- Strong observational and written communication skills- Reliable, patient, and able to maintain professional boundaries- Able to work 15 hours per week onsite in Racine, WI
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a therapeutic, residential, or direct-care setting- Familiarity with behavior support plans or applied behavior analysis (ABA)- CPR/First Aid certification- Bilingual skills (Spanish a plus)
