Homeschool Tutor

Tutoring Job Opportunity

We are hiring motivated, patient, and passionate tutors to work at our homeschool tutoring hall.

Lark Rise Hall is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, registered with the state. We have enrolled over 30 students for this year, and have rented out the beautiful Bullock Room in the Provo City Library.

The job would be to assist the students (ages 6-12) as they work through their own math curriculums they bring from home, as well as assisting with language arts curriculums and writing.  We plan to have one tutor per every three students so individual needs can be seen and met.

Our program runs from September 1, 2026, to April 29, 2027. Class will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with breaks around holidays. There are also a few days in the year when the library will not be available and we will not meet on those days.

Interested tutors could apply to work Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday, or all three days.

A few more details:
—Starting pay will be $14/hr.
—Tutors will be expected to wear business or business casual clothing to tutor in each day
—Tutors will be hired as independent contractors, ready to bring their tutoring skills to the table
—Tutors should feel confident that they can walk a student through elementary math and language arts lessons, as well as writing practice. Students working in curriculums for 4th grade and higher will be asked
to bring an answer key for their tutor to reference.
—Each tutor will split time between three students they will help throughout the day (time breakdowns are detailed out on the website under the Schedule tab).

Applicants can apply by emailing a resume and brief cover letter to info@larkrisehall.org . We will be
receiving applications and holding interviews from now until the positions are filled.

Feel free to email info@larkrisehall.org with any questions beyond what has been described.

We hope this will be an opportunity for interested individuals to earn some money while also gaining valuable tutoring experience.

Thank you,
