Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Job Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Location: Dearborn Heights, MI 48125

Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

Description:

To create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of young children. The teacher will foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning through play-based and structured activities, while building strong partnerships with families and collaborating with colleagues to support each child’s success.

Qualifications & Responsibilities :

● Bachelor's Degree required
● Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement required
● Major or minor in Early Childhood Education or Child Growth & Development required
● ZA or ZS endorsement required

● Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
● Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
● Monitor and document student progress and development
● Communicate regularly with families regarding student needs and progress
● Support positive behavior and social-emotional growth
● Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
● Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
● Maintain classroom safety and organization
● Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration as needed
● Engage in ongoing professional development and training
