Strategy and Operations Intern, Founder's Office
About NeuroKind
NeuroKind is rethinking how neurodivergence is understood and supported, starting with adult ADHD and autism. We build an AI-powered clinical workflow and longitudinal insights platform for licensed clinicians. A single high-stakes assessment becomes six weeks of structured data capture, delivered back to the clinician as pre-session briefs and actionable insights. We are a Delaware C-corporation headquartered in Chicago, with operations in the United States and Pakistan, and pilot partners in Chicago and Karachi.
The role
The Founder's Office works directly with the CEO on whatever is most important that month. Fundraising operations in one stretch, a partnership or a new program in the next. If you want to understand how a company is actually built, rather than read about it, this is the seat with the clearest view.
The work is real and it is varied, which means it suits someone who is comfortable without a fixed job description and who produces high-quality written output under time pressure.
What you will work on
- Support investor pipeline operations: research, tracking, meeting preparation and follow-up
- Prepare board-quality briefs, memos and decision documents
- Coordinate projects across the other four pods and track company milestones
- Build and maintain the company data room and document index
- Run special projects assigned by the CEO, from accelerator applications to event execution
What you bring
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Any major
- A record of high ownership somewhere: academics, work, or something you built or led outside class
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail
- Discretion. You will see confidential company information
- Able to manage several priorities with minimal supervision
Nice to have
- Prior experience in consulting, venture capital, startups or student entrepreneurship organizations
- Financial modeling or strategy coursework
What you get
Proximity to every decision in the company, mentorship directly from the founder, a portfolio of work that is unusually senior for a student, a written evaluation, and a reference letter on successful completion.
Terms
This is an unpaid educational internship. Hours are 10 to 15 per week for a minimum of 10 weeks, fully remote, with a rolling start.
Academic credit and school approval
Interns must have approval from their school to complete this internship for academic credit (for example through an internship course, faculty sponsor, or career services office) before their start date. Please be prepared to provide written confirmation of that approval. NeuroKind will complete any employer verification or supervisor evaluation forms your school requires.
Educational structure
This internship is designed around your learning. It includes a written learning plan with defined learning objectives in week one, a weekly one-on-one with your pod lead, a defined project you own end to end, a written evaluation, and a reference letter on successful completion. Interns do not replace paid staff, and the internship does not guarantee a job offer.
Work authorization
Open to international students with CPT or OPT authorization. CPT students must have their school's authorization in place before starting. NeuroKind does not offer visa sponsorship. Founder's Office interns sign a confidentiality agreement before starting.
A note on data
Interns do not access protected health information.
