Program Administrator, SELPA (ID 3075)
Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Program Administrator, SELPA for the South County SELPA department of the Student Services and Programs division. The Program Administrator, SELPA manages an assigned service delivery region or program that serves students with disabilities, including supporting statewide grant activities.
Please note that bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred for this vacancy.
ABOUT SOUTH COUNTY SELPA
The South County SELPA coordinates special education program development and student placements for more than 11,000 students from birth through age 22. We operate in the southern region of San Diego County, and member districts include the elementary and high school districts of Coronado, Chula Vista, National, San Ysidro, South Bay, Sweetwater, and San Diego County Office of Education programs. In addition, South County SELPA operates and supports Davila Day School, Friendship School, and South County SELPA Academy, which provide specialized educational programs tailored to students’ unique learning, communication, health, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Through these programs and in collaboration with families, member districts, and the San Diego County Office of Education, the SELPA works to ensure students have access to individualized instruction, appropriate supports, and opportunities to achieve their educational goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires the following Education and Experience and Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials:
Education and Experience:
Education: A master’s degree in education, education administration, or other closely related field; and,
Experience: Five (5) years of special education experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in an administrative capacity in special education.

Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in education, education administration, or other closely related field, and five (5) years of special education experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in an administrative capacity in special education.
Certificates, Licenses, and Credentials:
- Valid CA Administrative Services Credential; and
- One of the following:
- Valid CA Education Specialist or equivalent credential; or
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential with an emphasis in School Psychology; or
- Clinical Rehabilitation Services Credential
- Valid CA Driver’s License

- Valid Clinical Rehabilitation Services Credential
- Copy of transcripts verifying master’s degree in education, education administration, or other closely related field
