SMUGGLER is offering a Spring 2027 Internship designed to give participants hands-on experience inside an award-winning commercial production company. The program brings together students and non-students from across the country to experience the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a working production office.
Under the guidance of the Operations Department, interns will learn the fundamentals of being an effective Office PA while gaining valuable insight into how a commercial production company operates day-to-day. Interns will collaborate with both staff and freelance teams and have the chance to explore their specific interests across all facets of production.
This immersive experience offers a behind-the-scenes look into the inner workings of a successful, globally recognized studio—and provides a foundation for anyone interested in pursuing a career in production.
We're looking for motivated, curious, and detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to SMUGGLER's vibrant culture. The ideal intern is bright, tech-savvy, proactive, and adaptable—someone who approaches every task, big or small, with enthusiasm and professionalism.
SMUGGLER is excited to offer Production Internships in both New York and Los Angeles. Applicants should apply to only one office and be specific in their cover letter and email subject line. Applicants may only apply to one city. Please note that Start and End dates are subject to change based on applicant availability and office needs.
Hourly rates vary by location and meet state mandates. Please note that both internships are fully in-office. We are only considering Juniors and Seniors at this time. Interns are responsible for transporting themselves to and from the offices. LA applicants must have an active driver's license and are strongly encouraged to have their own vehicle (Federal mileage reimbursement rates apply).
