We are seeking an experienced Data Reporting & UAT Analyst to support comprehensive data validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reporting operations. In this role, you will review technical design documents, identify requirement gaps, map data across interface systems, build detailed test scenarios, and develop actionable reports and dashboards. You will work closely with business stakeholders, development, and QA teams to troubleshoot pre- and post-go-live data integrity issues from end to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Testing & Validation: Design, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and validation scripts to guarantee data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across data pipelines, ETL workflows, and reporting tables.
- Data Extraction & Reporting: Write, tune, and execute complex SQL queries against enterprise Teradata data warehouses to produce scheduled and ad-hoc operational or analytical reports.
- UAT & Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders to define business test scenarios, review design documentation, assist lead analysts with project coordination, and conduct demonstrations for internal and external project teams.
- Visualization & Dashboards: Translate complex business requirements into intuitive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Vendor & Technical Liaison: Serve as a primary technical contact for third-party data warehouse and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot loading issues, and track resolutions.
- Data Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting logic, testing procedures, data definitions, and warehouse schemas.
Qualifications
- Domain Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Medicaid or Medicare data systems, including exposure to federal/state healthcare policy implementations (e.g., CMS rules, legislative provisions, eligibility/unwinding efforts).
- Technical Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or UAT Analyst with a strong focus on data testing, discrepancy identification, and SQL development.
- Database & SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL querying and performance tuning within Teradata environments (including familiarity with utilities such as BTEQ or Teradata SQL Assistant).
- Testing & QA Execution: Proven track record authoring end-to-end UAT test plans, executing validation scripts, and reconciling complex data anomalies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of state and federal Medicaid/Medicare regulatory reporting frameworks and healthcare operations data (encounters, claims, eligibility, and clinical quality metrics).
- Quantitative analysis experience using SAS, predictive modeling concepts, or statistical data validation methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) for documentation and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to both executive leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
