About SL:54

SL:54 is a rapidly growing boutique fitness brand specializing in infrared-heated mat Pilates, strength-based movement, and reformer classes.

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and highly motivated Studio Manager to oversee our Commack location. This person will be responsible for daily studio operations, staff management, client experience, sales, scheduling, memberships, and overall studio performance.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader with previous fitness, wellness, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing management experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a fast-paced studio environment.

Previous hands-on Mindbody experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commack studio
  • Manage and support front-desk and sales staff
  • Ensure clients receive exceptional service
  • Manage memberships, client accounts, bookings, cancellations, waitlists, and purchases
  • Monitor membership sales, lead follow-up, retention, and studio performance
  • Respond to client emails, phone calls, and membership inquiries
  • Manage staff schedules and coordinate coverage when needed
  • Train and onboard new employees
  • Hold team members accountable to SL:54 policies and standards
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, inventory, and presentation
  • Address client and staff concerns professionally and promptly
  • Support studio events, promotions, partnerships, and local marketing
  • Communicate regularly with ownership regarding staffing, sales, performance, and operational needs
  • Handle time-sensitive studio matters when necessary

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Boutique fitness, wellness, hospitality, retail, beauty, or other client-facing management experience is a plus
  • Previous Mindbody experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Strong sales and customer-service ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable managing employees and holding a team accountable
  • Able to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
  • Interest in fitness and wellness preferred

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week.

The schedule is flexible and will primarily be built around studio operating needs, including:

  • Early mornings
  • Evenings
  • Weekends

Midday hours may be limited depending on the studio schedule.
