Job Description




Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Human Resources Talent Acquisition is looking for an experienced Human Resources Compliance Professional who will lead the Workforce Mobility & Relocation program and be a primary point of contact for employees who are being relocated or temporarily assigned either domestically or internationally, manager inquiries, as well as the relocation vendors who administer domestic relocations and domestic and international temporary assignments, and the transition bonus program for new hires. In addition, the Relocation & Compliance Administrator will interface with government and internal auditors who review relocation expenses on a regular basis.  Within this role, you will learn the relocation and temporary assignment programs as well as the federal government regulations that are the source of these guidelines and past audit findings that impacted specific provisions within the programs.  The position involves ensuring that employee relocation and temporary assignment needs are met while maintaining compliance with the regulations, guidelines, and policies and involves continuous interactions with those employees and the relocation vendor, along with conducting financial analyses of relocation expenses and performing internal audits of relocation records.  This role includes direct engagement with relocating employees, management, and other stakeholders, and therefore demands exceptional customer service along with clear, effective written and verbal communication.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill



Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.




Preferred Skills




  • Experience with relocation administration including travel

  • Experience working and complying with government regulations

  • Experience responding to audits and interfacing with auditors

  • Experience working directly with external vendors

  • Experience providing quality customer service

  • Experience with budgeting and tax assistance

  • Experience authoring government proposals for approval

Pay Range



$106,200.00 - $166,000.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.


The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards, satellite, and vendor locations.
