Chief Development Officer

Salary: $110,000 plus up to $15,000 performance bonus

Full-time, exempt position responsible for leading fundraising, marketing, and development initiatives to increase revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and advance the organization's mission. Oversees grants, communications, community outreach, special events, budgets, and development staff. 

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute fundraising strategies, campaigns, and special events to increase revenue.

Identify and cultivate individual, corporate, foundation, and government funding opportunities.

Oversee grant development, submissions, and management.

Lead marketing, communications, social media, and branding initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders.

Manage donor stewardship, outreach activities, and fundraising databases.

Support Board development, recruitment, and strategic planning.

Supervise and mentor the Grants Manager, Development & Marketing Specialist, and Philanthropy Manager.

Monitor fundraising performance, budgets, and marketing outcomes.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and fundraising standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and revenue development.

Proven success in donor cultivation, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and special events.

Experience with grant writing, community outreach, and contract management.

Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, CRM systems, and analytics.
