Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Location: Gainesville, Florida | On-site | Full-Time
About the Role
We're looking for a Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team and take ownership of researching, developing, and designing new products that meet customer demands — cost-effectively. You'll work across the full product lifecycle, from concept through documentation, and collaborate with teams across the company to get things done.
What you'll do
- Design plastic parts for injection molding using PTC Creo and AutoCAD, with a focus on design for manufacturability. - Research and develop new products based on customer requirements, balancing performance and cost. - Maintain and update legacy product designs as needed. - Build complete documentation packages, including validation and verification. - Create and manage bills of materials (BOM) in NetSuite. - Work closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, and other Engineers — whether you're deep in a design or answering customer questions.
About you
Required: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Hands-on experience with PTC Creo and/or AutoCAD or similar modeling software. - An understanding of injection molding processes and design for manufacturability principles is preferred. - Ability to produce thorough engineering documentation, including validation and verification. - Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating clearly with non-engineering teams.
Nice to have: - Experience with electro-mechanical systems or components. - Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting platforms. - Background working with legacy product lines.
