Subject: Transformative Internship/Volunteer Opportunity: The Nativity Encounter in Bethlehem

Dear Department Head / Program Coordinator,

We are writing to you today with an exciting and truly unique opportunity for your students in Theatre, Media Arts, Media Production, and Set Design. Our organization, ‘The Nativity Encounter’ which is a ministry arm of Holy Land Missions which has been serving in Israel amongst the Jews and Arabs for over 45 years in church planting, discipleship, and evangelism, is seeking passionate and talented college students to volunteer and intern with us in Bethlehem, the very place where Jesus walked.

This coming Christmas, we are expanding our annual outreach with the Nativity Encounter Christmas Hope Tent. The Nativity Encounter is an immersive Bible discovery experience designed to clarify faith and historical misconceptions surrounding the story of Jesus. It engages both residents and pilgrims through innovative and interactive experiences, fostering understanding and bridging cultural divides. Your students would play a vital role in bringing this vision to life by contributing their creative skills to the additional exhibits and overall production of this special tent.

We are offering two-week or four-week volunteer/internship programs this Christmas season. This is a hands-on opportunity to use their academic training in a profoundly meaningful context.

While we will provide comfortable lodging with utilities paid, participating students will be responsible for securing support from their families and churches for their travel, food, and personal expenses.

The benefits of this experience extend far beyond a typical internship:

Exceptional Resume & Portfolio Building: Students will gain invaluable practical experience in a live, large-scale production, creating tangible work that will significantly enhance their professional resumes and portfolios. The unique nature of this project will make their applications stand out.

Cross-Cultural Immersion: Living and serving in Bethlehem offers an unparalleled opportunity to develop cross-cultural competence, adaptability, and a global perspective – skills highly valued in any field.

Personal & Spiritual Growth: This is a chance to give back to the birthplace of our faith, deepening their understanding and connection to biblical history while fostering personal resilience, independence, and empathy.

Networking: Students will connect with local leaders, fellow volunteers from around the world, and professionals in the fields of ministry and media production.

Unique Life Experience: Serving overseas provides an unforgettable adventure, expanding their worldview and creating memories and insights that will last a lifetime.

We believe this is an unparalleled opportunity for your students to apply their talents, grow professionally, and contribute to a mission!
