Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Part-Time | 10–20 hours/week | Onsite | University City, Missouri

We're looking for an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our classroom team and support the growth and development of young children. This role works closely with the lead teacher to create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children in the early childhood years.

What you'll do

- Support the lead teacher in planning and carrying out daily activities and lesson plans- Engage directly with children during structured learning, play, and transitions- Observe and document children's development and daily activities- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment- Communicate with families in a respectful and supportive manner- Assist with meals, rest time, and other daily routines as needed

About you

- Pursuing or holding a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field- Genuine interest in working with young children- Patient, caring, and able to stay calm in a busy classroom setting- Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player- Experience in a childcare or classroom setting is a plus, but not required
