About the Role:We're looking for a Youth Outreach Support Services Specialist to connect young people with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. This role sits at the intersection of community engagement and direct service — you'll spend real time in the field, building trust with youth and families, and linking them to programs that make a tangible difference.
What you'll do:- Build and maintain relationships with at-risk youth and their families in the Oakland Park community- Conduct outreach in schools, community centers, shelters, and other settings to identify youth in need- Assess client needs and connect them to appropriate social services, mental health resources, housing support, and educational programs- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with agency standards- Coordinate with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations- Facilitate group sessions, workshops, or peer support activities for youth- Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support or referrals as needed- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community events
About you:- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or a related field- Experience working with youth, particularly in outreach, case management, or community-based settings- Strong interpersonal skills — you can meet people where they are and build real trust quickly- Familiarity with local resources and service systems in Broward County is a plus- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole) preferred- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as outreach demands
Nice to have:- MSW or related graduate degree- Experience with trauma-informed care- Knowledge of juvenile justice, foster care, or homeless youth systems
