Math (Pre-calc to Calculus level) Tutor

Z-Academy focuses on supporting neurodivergent and advanced learners with flexible, personalized instruction built around how your child actually thinks and works. Every student is different — and we take that seriously. We utilize the student's classroom curriculum, additional resources, state published/state testing guidance as well as study skills & test prep programs in order to aid your teaching. We are a team of education enthusiasts. Our mission is to help students achieve their goals and reach their highest potential!

With high demands from local families, we are currently looking to add a few more individuals to our team who can support with Math (pre-calc to Calculus) subject needs at the high school to associates degree level. We will give any certified teachers and/or those with classroom teaching experiences priority consideration.  We would expect you to work on phonics, grammar, sentence structure, essay writing as well as spelling in a systematic manner with any of your students. 

You may also be required to act as a homework accountability coach to ensure that your students turns in their homework on time and in completion. If you are capable of teaching other positions, we will take your full skillset into our hiring as well as assignment decisions. 

This is a hybrid role with on-site/in-person requirement at least two days of the week. In addition, we would need you to also be able to maintain a relatively consistent schedule or be able to navigate through scheduling changes. For highly qualifying candidates, we may consider full remote candidates.

What do we look for in a candidate

  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to perspective take
  • Academic background in subject areas you wish to tutor (with reasonable GPA)
  • Reliable Transportation (or willingness to take public transportation)
  • You would need to provide a full government ID as well as SSN and/or proof of work eligibility and complete the necessary background check items
