Prestigious Entertainment is a fast-growing children's event company serving New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut — and we're looking for more than just someone in a costume. We're building a team of passionate performers who bring characters to life, command a room full of excited kids, and create moments that families remember forever.

This is a performance role. You don't need to have done it professionally, but you need to be the kind of person who naturally lights up around kids, loves being the center of attention, and takes every commitment seriously.

WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE:

• Weekend events — primarily Saturdays and Sundays
• Birthday parties, corporate events, and celebrations across NJ, NY, and CT
• Events typically run 1–3 hours
• You arrive in full character — on time, in costume, and ready to perform
• You lead superhero training, interactive games, and special birthday moments with groups of children
• You engage confidently with kids and communicate professionally with parents

EVENT FREQUENCY — WHAT TO EXPECT:

This is a weekend-based role — the majority of events take place on Saturdays and Sundays. On an active weekend you can expect anywhere from 3 to 6 events, though this is not guaranteed and will vary week to week based on demand and scheduling. If you are looking for a consistent daily schedule Monday–Friday, this role may not be the right fit. If you are flexible, available on weekends, and looking to maximize your earnings when bookings are strong — this is a great opportunity.

HOW YOUR SCHEDULE WORKS — WEEKLY BREAKDOWN:

Here's exactly how the logistics work so there are no surprises. Every weekend follows a simple two-option system:

Option 1 — Pick up the day before: Pick up your supplies and equipment from our base location on Friday. When you wake up Saturday morning, you head straight from your home to your event — no extra stops needed. This is the preferred option for Saturday events.

Option 2 — Pick up the day of: Pick up your supplies from our base location on Saturday morning before your first event, then head straight to the event from there.

Drop-off: You can drop off your equipment on the same day once your events are done, or hold onto it through the weekend if you have both Saturday and Sunday bookings. Monday is the latest drop-off day — no exceptions.

Traffic note: Whether you're picking up on Friday or Saturday, always plan around peak traffic hours. Friday pickups are best done outside of rush hour. Same applies to drop-offs — earlier is always better.

The short version: Either pick up the day before and go straight from home, or pick up the day of and go straight from our base. That's the whole system.

WHAT THE PAY LOOKS LIKE:

$75 for the first hour → $25 every additional 30 minutes → 2-hour event = $125 → 3-hour event = $175

REQUIREMENTS:

Do not apply if you do not have a valid driver's license and your own reliable personal vehicle. Events are located across NJ, NY, and CT. Some events require driving up to 40–50 miles. This is a firm, non-negotiable requirement.

Do not apply if you are not consistently available on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a weekend-primary role. Weekday events exist but are not guaranteed.

Do not apply if you currently live outside of New Jersey. We need performers who are locally based and ready to deploy across the tri-state area.

Additional requirements:

• High energy, outgoing, and genuinely comfortable performing in front of large groups of children
• Able to stay in character and maintain the magic of the experience throughout the event
• Reliable and accountable — if you commit to a date, you show up no matter what
• Background in theater, improv, acting, dance, sports performance, or any live performance is a strong plus — but not required if you have the right energy and personality
• Must fit our full fitted bodysuit costume, which is pre-made and sized for an athletic build of approximately 5'8" to 6'1" and 150–180 lbs

DRIVING EXPECTATIONS:

We operate across NJ, NY, and CT. Some events require driving up to 40–50 miles from your location. This does not happen every weekend, but it is a regular part of the role. Do not apply if you are only comfortable driving within a small local radius. We are looking for people who genuinely don't mind being on the road — gas and tolls are always reimbursed on top of your pay.

License/Certification: Driver's License AND reliable personal vehicle of your own (Required)

Pay: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour

Work Location: In person — based out of Union City, NJ
