Field Tech & Commissioning Technician
Our client in Boise, ID is currently hiring for a Field Tech & Commissioning Technician. This position will support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning of industrial water treatment systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in mechanical systems, HVAC service, industrial maintenance, water treatment, or a related field and be comfortable traveling to support customers throughout the region.
Pay – Depending on years of experience, technical background, certifications, and relevant industry experience
Location – Boise, ID
Schedule – Monday through Friday (40+ hours per week, overtime as needed)
(Responsibilities)
• Operate and maintain water treatment systems including RO/DI systems, waste treatment equipment, scrubbers, vacuum systems, pumps, chemical delivery systems, and controllers.
• Monitor system performance, respond to alarms, perform adjustments, and ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Collect water samples and perform testing and analysis of water quality.
• Install, replace, and maintain consumable components such as filters and related equipment.
• Read and review blueprints, plans, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare for equipment startup and service activities.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and associated subassemblies.
• Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, repair records, and operational logs.
• Partner with engineering, project management, sales teams, and customers to resolve equipment and process issues. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
(Qualification Requirements)
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical service, commissioning, HVAC service, water treatment, or a related technical field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, SOPs, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and computer-based reporting systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. • Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel as required to support customer sites.

• No experience performing mechanical, industrial, commissioning, maintenance, or field service work.
• Inability to travel as required for customer support activities.
• No experience reading technical drawings, blueprints, or operating procedures.
• No experience working in industrial, manufacturing, utility, or technical service environments.
• Inability to maintain required safety standards in a customer-facing environment.
