About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic After-School Instructor to lead our Visual Arts for elementary students during the Winter Term. This program encourages self-expression and creativity through a variety of hands-on art projects including drawing, painting, mixed media, and crafts.
You’ll help students explore different art styles and techniques in a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging visual arts lessons and creative projects
- Introduce a variety of art techniques (drawing, painting, mixed media, etc.)
- Encourage creativity, imagination, and self-expression
- Support students in completing individual and group art pieces
- Manage classroom behavior in a fun but structured setting
- Prepare materials and maintain an organized workspace
- Collaborate with site staff and fellow instructors
Requirements
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (required)
- Strong interest or background in visual arts
- Comfortable leading hands-on creative activities
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- Energetic, patient, and encouraging teaching style
- Available for Winter Term schedule
- Art or teaching experience is a plus (not required)
