Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of Fall 2026 matriculation and enrollment in the Fall semester must be submitted with your resume.
Preferred Qualifications: College or graduate student interested in exploring a career in Accounting/Auditing; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work on multiple projects with various staff, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to problem solve effectively; flexible and responsive; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer programs as needed
Duties Description
Student Assistant interns will work in the office and occasionally at a taxpayer or representative's location assisting Taxation and Finance auditors in the duties related to the audits of the taxpayers' books and records (both individual and business). This will include understanding how to apply the tax law and regulations, research, reviewing taxpayer supplied documentation and assisting in the determination of the correct tax due. The candidate should be able to work 10 to 20 hours per week; preferably working either two or three days a week. Extended hours may be available during school breaks and summer. The candidate may be requested to travel during the internship when their schedule allows. Some of the travel may be overnight.
The candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting.

Temporary, part-time, non-competitive. Salary determined by academic level. Hours worked and schedule are flexible and dependent upon assignment. Must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.
