Veterinarian
Veterinarian – Full-Time or Part-Time
Countryside Veterinary Service | Myrtle Creek & Canyonville, Oregon
Countryside Veterinary Service is looking for a veterinarian to join our privately owned practice in beautiful Southern Oregon.
We are a busy, established practice with two locations in Myrtle Creek and Canyonville, just south of Roseburg along the I-5 corridor. Our team primarily cares for dogs and cats, while also seeing a variety of exotics and wildlife.
Experience with exotics or wildlife is NOT required. If you have an interest in learning more about these species, we are happy to provide support and an opportunity to gain experience. If your passion is dogs and cats, that's perfectly fine too.
We are open to both full-time and part-time veterinarians, including experienced DVMs and new graduates. We understand that the right position looks different for everyone, and we are willing to work with the right candidate to find a schedule that works for both you and the practice.
What You'll Find at Countryside
Our hospitals are well equipped and supported by an experienced veterinary team. Our services include:
Wellness and preventative care
Medical and urgent care cases
Soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
Dentistry with digital dental radiography
Digital radiography
Ultrasound
In-house laboratory diagnostics
Exotics and wildlife care for veterinarians interested in these areas
New graduates are welcome. We provide mentorship and support while you build your skills, confidence, and individual interests within veterinary medicine.
Experienced veterinarians are equally welcome, and we value the knowledge, skills, and perspective they bring to our team.
A Schedule That Leaves Room for Life
Our regular workweek is Monday through Thursday, giving our team three-day weekends.
There are no after-hours emergency shifts and no on-call requirements.
We believe you can have a rewarding career in veterinary medicine without giving up your life outside of work.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package for Southern Oregon, including:
Competitive salary
Paid vacation
Veterinary licensing expenses
Continuing education expense coverage
Health benefit stipend
Retirement benefits
No after-hours or on-call responsibilities
Why Southern Oregon?
Our Myrtle Creek and Canyonville locations offer small-town living with convenient access to Roseburg and I-5. Southern Oregon puts you within reach of the Oregon Coast, mountains, lakes and rivers, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, rock climbing, wineries, breweries, and countless opportunities to get outside and explore.
You can build a veterinary career here and still have time to enjoy where you live.
What We're Looking For
Applicants must have:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
A current Oregon veterinary license or the ability to obtain Oregon licensure
Beyond that, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, cares about providing excellent medicine, and wants to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
You do not need to come to us knowing everything. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian looking for a change or a new graduate looking for a practice where you can continue learning, we'd like to hear from you.
