After School Intructors

The Children’s Film Academy is seeking an energetic and dependable college student to lead an after-school Cinematography Club for elementary students in the Del Mar Union School District.

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, approximately 2:00–3:30 PM
Duration: 6 weeks beginning in January
Pay: $60 per class (1.5 hours)

Students will learn cinematography through fun, hands-on activities using GoPro cameras and DJI drones. Activities include POV filming, chase sequences, smooth camera movements, sports, outdoor challenges, and creative filmmaking exercises.

The instructor will follow a provided curriculum, teach basic camera techniques, supervise equipment use, and keep students engaged in a safe and positive environment.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic, responsible, comfortable working with children, and interested in film, cinematography, photography, media, or education. Experience working with children is preferred.

No advanced drone or cinematography experience is required. Training, equipment, and lesson plans are provided.
