FMCC - Product Management Intern
As a Product Management Intern, you'll be embedded within one of our core product teams—whether that's modernizing our lending platform, innovating on our commercial/consumer customers journeys and tools, exploring alternative payment technologies all while using the latest tools and technologies. You won't just be observing; you'll be contributing to real products that ship to real customers. Think of this as your crash course in product management at scale, where you'll learn how to balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements (yep, finance has lots of those!).
Responsibilities
Measurable objectives:
- Customer Research & Discovery: Conduct user interviews, analyze customer feedback, dive into data analytics, and help identify pain points and opportunities. You'll learn how to translate what customers say they want into what they actually need.
- Product Strategy & Roadmapping: Work alongside senior product managers to define product requirements, prioritize features, and contribute to quarterly roadmap planning. You'll see firsthand how we decide what to build next and why.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams, designers, data scientists, compliance officers, marketing, and business stakeholders. You'll quickly learn that building great products is a team sport.
- Feature Development: Partner to drive a small-to-medium sized feature or improvement from conception to launch. This means writing user stories, creating wireframes, defining success metrics, and working with engineers through the development cycle.
- Data Analysis & Metrics: Learn to be data-driven by analyzing product performance, creating dashboards, running A/B tests, and presenting insights to leadership. We'll teach you how to measure what matters.
- Sprint Ceremonies & Agile Practices: Participate in standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos. You'll get real experience with how modern product teams operate.
