Seasonal Booth Staff — Dried Floral Studio
Honey & The Moon is hiring one or two people to help run our booth at the SoWa Christmas Market, New England's largest indoor holiday market, held at the SoWa Power Station in the South End.
We're a dried floral studio. Everything we sell is made from dried and preserved botanicals — bouquets, wreaths, ornaments, and larger installations — and the booth is designed as a small shop rather than a craft table, so presentation matters as much as the selling does.
What you'd be doing
• Selling to customers, and talking with them about the flowers and how they're made
• Wrapping and packaging purchases — tissue, ribbon, gift boxes
• Restocking displays through the night and keeping the booth full and tidy
• Running sales on SquareSchedule
Shifts are available Tuesday through Sunday from Nov 21 through Dec 27 — the market is closed Mondays. We'll build a regular weekly schedule around your availability; most people work two to four days a week, roughly 10–24 hours.• Tuesday–Thursday evenings: 3:30–9:00 PM
• Friday evenings: 3:30–10:00 PM
• Saturdays: daytime or evening, anywhere between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM
• Sundays: 9:30 AM–7:00 PMEvening shifts run about an hour later from Dec 1 onward, once the market extends its holiday hours.
What you'd get out of it
We're a small studio, so you won't be siloed on a register. You'll see how a piece is priced, how a booth is merchandised, why certain things sell and others don't, and what it looks like when a customer reacts to something in person. If you make things yourself, that's a genuinely useful five weeks. No floral experience needed — we'll teach you the material. We're hiring for warmth, reliability, and real interest in the work.
Qualifications
• Comfortable talking with customers for a full shift
• Able to be on your feet for a six-hour shift and lift about 25 lbs of restock
• Reliable transport to and from 550 Harrison Ave for a 10:00 PM finish
• Retail, market, or customer-facing experience is a plus, not a requirement
