Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our laboratory operations team in supporting innovation activities. The primary function of this position is to perform analytical characterization and laboratory testing following established procedures, while accurately recording, organizing, and analyzing test data for reliable reporting. The Lab Technician also maintains equipment, documentation, supplies, and work areas to support safe, efficient, and high-quality laboratory operations.
Job Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing and analytical characterization following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety/quality requirements.
Prepare, label, handle, and organize samples to support accurate and reliable testing.
Operate, clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, keeping detailed maintenance/calibration logs.
Record, organize, review, and report test data accurately using basic software tools like Microsoft Excel and Word.
Maintain organized, safe work areas, equipment logs, calibration records, and laboratory inventory.
Clearly communicate test results, observations, and equipment issues to engineers, scientists, and supervisors.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product development, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and innovation activities.
Education & Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
Strong commitment to safety, extreme attention to detail, and receptiveness to high-quality standards.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and data entry systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in team environments.
Coachable mindset with an eagerness to learn through a structured 3–4 week onboarding and training program.
Preferred:
Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Prior laboratory testing, quality control, or R&D environment experience.
Experience with sample preparation, analytical characterization testing, and maintaining basic analytical equipment.
