Mental Health Coach
Overview
The Mental Health Coach works in support of the multidisciplinary treatment team under the direction of the Clinical Director to execute the goals of the patients’ individual treatment plans and help sustain the appropriate environment of care.
Shift: Evenings, 3:00p-10:00p; Saturdays/Sundays, 7:00a-3:00p
Duties
- Complete admissions procedures as needed under the direction of the Clinical Director and/or Director of Admissions according to Charis Eating Disorder Care Policies and Procedures
- Provide accountability and instruction to patients concerning their care and treatment, as appropriate, when clinical staff is not present
- Assist with group therapies, as directed by the Clinical Director
- Coordinate with the Clinical Director the planning and implementation of patient schedules and support
- Provide daily meal and snack support for patients in coordination with Dietetic Technicians and Registered Dietitian
- Assist patients in planning and homework completion as necessary
- Provide updates to the clinical team on patient concerns in a timely fashion
- Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of Charis Eating Disorder Care
- Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information
- Participate in scheduled in-services and other appropriate training activities
- Utilize supervisory feedback to improve performance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Preferred knowledge and experience in the field of eating disorders treatment
- Preferred knowledge of counseling practices
- Excellent driving record
- Preferred coursework in mental health/human services field
