Part-Time Social Media Manager

World Armwrestling League is looking for a creative, digitally savvy Social Media Manager to help manage and grow our presence across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and a new TikTok channel.

This is a part-time opportunity ideally suited for a college student, graduate student, or early-career candidate who understands today's social landscape and is excited about sports, entertainment, and digital content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Launch and help grow WAL's TikTok presence.
  • Edit existing and new footage into Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, highlights, graphics, and other platform-specific content.
  • Optimize content for engagement through strong hooks, captions, titles, thumbnails, trends, and posting strategy.
  • Track performance and use analytics to continually improve results.
  • Use AI and emerging creative tools to develop original content and increase the speed and quality of content creation.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong understanding of today's major social platforms and what drives engagement.
  • Video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and current AI content-creation tools.
  • Creative instincts, strong communication skills, and an ability to work independently.
  • Sports, entertainment, fitness, or creator experience is a plus.

Time Commitment & Compensation

This is a flexible, part-time role paying approximately $1,000 per month. We anticipate approximately one team meeting per month, with regular content creation and posting throughout the week.

The role also offers exposure to WAL's leadership, board, and investor group, including senior executives with extensive experience across media, finance, operations, investing, and business development - providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build valuable industry relationships.
