About Code Ninjas

Code Ninjas teaches kids ages 5–14 coding, robotics, and problem-solving through games and hands-on projects. Our Senseis are mentors and role models who make learning technology fun, engaging, and rewarding.

The Role

We are looking for fun, positive, and energetic Senseis who enjoy working with kids. You will mentor students as they work through our coding and robotics curriculum, help them when they get stuck, celebrate their progress, and create an environment where kids are excited to learn.

What You’ll Do

Mentor and engage students ages 5–14 in coding, game development, and robotics.

Guide students through challenges rather than simply giving them the answers.

Encourage students, celebrate their accomplishments, and help build their confidence.

Assist with projects using tools such as Scratch, Minecraft, Roblox, JavaScript, and robotics platforms.

Track student progress and communicate relevant updates to the Center Director.

Help maintain a fun, welcoming, clean, and organized Dojo.

Assist with camps, workshops, and special events as needed.

What We’re Looking For

A fun, friendly, and positive personality—you should genuinely enjoy interacting with and mentoring kids.

Patient, encouraging, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with or knowledge of coding/programming.

Ability to work well as part of a team.

Must pass a background check.

Experience working with children, LEGO® SPIKE Prime or other robotics platforms, game development, or STEM education is a plus.

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Senseis must be available to work at least two shifts per week during our school-year hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM–1:30 PM

Occasional additional evening or weekend hours may be available for camps, workshops, and special Code Ninjas events.
