Part-Time Violin Instructor
Pianova Institute is seeking a passionate and reliable Part-Time Violin Instructor to join our growing teaching team in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and can create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment. Most of our students are children and young musicians studying through private lessons, performances, exams, and ensemble programs.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private violin lessons to children and young musicians
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, and exams when appropriate
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and our administrative team
- Provide encouraging, structured, and age-appropriate instruction
- Help students develop strong technique, musicianship, and confidence
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Music, Music Education, Violin Performance, or a related field
- Strong violin performance skills
- Patient, responsible, friendly, and comfortable working with children
- Teaching experience is preferred, but strong candidates with limited experience are welcome to apply
- Reliable transportation to our studio
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule
Position Details:
- Part-time
- In-person in the Walnut / Diamond Bar area
- Mainly weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
- Flexible schedule based on availability
- Pay: $40-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Opportunity to grow teaching hours as student enrollment increases
