About the job:
We are looking for a creative, motivated student to join our team as a Social Media/Marketing Intern. You will help tell the story of a company that connects schools with the professionals who change students' lives, while gaining hands-on experience building a brand's presence from the inside. You will write blog posts for our website, manage a video content campaign, and create social content that goes out to real audiences, not busywork.
This position is fully remote and part-time, with 5-10 hours per week to start, scheduled around your classes. This position will span spring semester with flexible start and end dates, and may continue beyond the semester if it is a good fit for both you and Birch Agency. A writing sample or social media profile is required for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule engaging posts for Birch Agency's social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Develop existing social media accounts on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Handshake
- Create and grow Birch Agency Instagram account
- Write captions and short-form copy and design graphics (Canva) that reflect Birch Agency's brand voice
- Write regular blog posts for the Birch Agency website on topics such as education, special education, and working in schools
- Manage Birch Agency's first video content campaign by developing video ideas, editing and publishing short-form videos, and tracking how they perform
- Showcase Birch Agency's mission through staff spotlights, education-focused awareness days and weeks, and back-to-school and end-of-year themes
- Manage Birch Agency social media profiles, monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and share insights on what is working
- Research trends and similar staffing and education brands to recommend fresh content ideas
- Help maintain a content calendar so posts go out consistently
- Assist with other marketing projects as needed, such as email campaigns, flyers, and website updates
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, SC, TX, VA, or WI
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university; all majors welcome, with marketing, communications, business, journalism, and related fields a plus
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook and how organizations use them
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to write clear, engaging blog posts
- Experience with video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or similar) and comfortable creating content; filming experience is a bonus, but not required
- Basic design skills; experience with Canva or similar tools preferred, but not required
- Creativity and an eye for consistent, professional branding
- Ability to manage your time and work independently in a remote environment
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with the Birch Agency team
- Interest in education, healthcare, or staffing is a plus; no prior internship experience required

Compensation:
- $15/hour, paid weekly and in arrears
- 5-10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling around your classes
