SPEECH PATHOLOGIST/SLP CLINICAL FELLOW

About the Role

A Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow works under the supervision of a licensed and certified SLP to complete the required clinical fellowship hours necessary for ASHA certification. This is an entry-level clinical position designed for recent graduates of an accredited master's program in speech-language pathology.

What You'll Do

- Evaluate and treat patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility standards- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists- Participate in family education and counseling regarding communication and swallowing disorders- Complete required CF mentorship hours and check-ins with supervising SLP- Follow all facility policies, ASHA ethical standards, and state licensure requirements

Requirements

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) eligibility — must be in or eligible to begin a Clinical Fellowship- State licensure or temporary license in good standing (or pending)- Strong clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice to Have

- Experience or coursework in dysphagia, AAC, or pediatric/adult populations- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
