A Bayesian statistician/programmer is needed for a psychophysics project that is studying human perceptual thresholds.  The project presents letters on a custom LED display, and seeks the stimulus energy that will yield a 50% probability of letter recognition.  Bayesian prior probability calculations would be done by a subroutine that can adjust the treatments in real time for each trial of a stimulus display task.  The programs are written in Tk/tcl, so the subroutine should either be the same, or be fast enough to be an external loop.  Further details can be provided by email.  Remote work, flexible scheduling, consulting fee is negotiable.  Payment is from a non-university affiliated foundation, so an international student, postdoc, or faculty member must have pre-approval of ability to accept off-campus employment.
