Digital Investigation Intern

AFP is seeking an intern to work part-time (16-20 hrs/week) with the digital investigation team in our Washington, DC bureau. The position will be hybrid. Some work can be carried out remotely, but the intern will need to be available to work in our newsroom. 

Interns will report and write fact-check articles for our website using skills learned through AFP's digital verification training course.

The intern will also pitch and design posts to promote the work of AFP Fact Check on Instagram. Experience working with Canva is a plus. 

The right candidate will have a keen interest in world news, be comfortable creating posts for social media, and share our goal of stemming the spread of misinformation online. 

This is an English language internship. Fluency in French is not required, but language skills are always an advantage when seeking work at AFP.
