Intern – Horticulture: Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR)
Position Title: Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Intern
Overview:
This internship offers undergraduate students hands-on experience working with Cooperative Extension in agriculture and natural resources. Interns will support the ANR Extension Agent in helping small-scale and part-time farmers improve their farms, homes, and communities. You’ll gain exposure to real-world agricultural practices and learn how Extension professionals support local producers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the ANR Extension Agent to provide on-the-ground support to small farmers, including farm visits and consultations.
- Help farmers identify challenges and find practical solutions related to crop production, livestock care, land use, and farm business management.
- Assist with educational programs and community outreach focused on topics such as animal science, horticulture, natural resource conservation, and sustainable farming.
- Participate in activities that strengthen and support family farms and rural communities.
