About the Casper Spuds

Thank you for your interest in joining the Casper Spuds Baseball organization!

The Casper Spuds are a minor league-style collegiate summer baseball organization based in Casper, Wyoming. We combine competitive collegiate baseball with the entertainment, promotions, community engagement, and fan experience of minor league baseball.

Our goal is to provide interns with meaningful, hands-on experience that prepares them to compete for future opportunities in collegiate and professional sports. Spuds interns aren't simply observing from the sidelines—they become an important part of our organization and help bring the Spuds experience to life throughout the season.

We are happy to work with students who wish to fulfill requirements for college internship credit when applicable. Previous experience working in sports is not required. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are ready to learn, contribute, and become part of the Spuds team.

Position Overview

The Casper Spuds are seeking organized, dependable, and hands-on Stadium Operations Interns to help support the operation of Mike Lansing Field during the 2027 summer baseball season.

This internship provides hands-on experience in stadium operations, facility management, game-day operations, event setup and execution, special events, guest experience, and sports management within a minor league-style collegiate summer baseball organization.

Stadium operations is the foundation behind nearly everything that happens at the ballpark.

Before the gates open, the facility must be ready. Signage needs to be placed. Guest areas need to be prepared. Equipment needs to be where it belongs. Special events need to be set up. Operational issues need to be identified. And when thousands of little details come together correctly, fans rarely notice any of them—which is exactly the point.

The Stadium Operations Interns will help ensure that Mike Lansing Field is prepared, organized, safe, functional, and ready to welcome fans and guests for Spuds home games and other events throughout the summer.

Interns will also gain experience supporting festivals, community events, tournaments, concerts, theme nights, and other activities hosted at the facility while collaborating with nearly every area of the Spuds organization.

This is a hands-on internship. The ideal candidate isn't afraid to move tables, put up tents, troubleshoot a problem, interact with guests, help another department, or jump into an unexpected situation when something needs to get done.

Why Intern with the Casper Spuds?

When stadium operations is done well, most fans never think about it.

They simply walk into a ballpark that's ready for them.

The signs are where they need to be. The entrances are prepared. The seating areas are ready. The event spaces are set. The promotions have what they need. The other departments can do their jobs. And when something unexpected happens, someone recognizes the problem and helps solve it.

That's stadium operations.

As a Stadium Operations & Events Intern, you'll experience the behind-the-scenes work required to transform Mike Lansing Field from an empty facility into a functioning sports and entertainment venue—and then do it again for the next game, festival, tournament, concert, or community event.

You'll also work across nearly every area of the Spuds organization, giving you a broad understanding of how facility operations, ticketing, concessions, merchandising, entertainment, marketing, media, hospitality, and events all connect.

Some days you'll be helping prepare for thousands of fans.

Other days you may be setting up a community event, moving equipment, troubleshooting an unexpected facility issue, helping another department meet a deadline, or resetting the stadium for whatever is happening next.

That's exactly what makes this internship valuable.

If your goal is to eventually manage stadiums, arenas, athletic facilities, events, or sports organizations, this is an opportunity to learn how those operations actually work—from the ground up.

Application Process

We are looking for interns who are ready to show up, solve problems, work hard, and help make the ballpark run.

Applicants should submit a résumé highlighting any relevant experience in sports, event operations, facilities, hospitality, recreation, customer service, athletics, student organizations, or other hands-on environments.

Previous stadium or professional sports experience is not required. We are especially interested in applicants who demonstrate reliability, initiative, attention to detail, flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to jump in when something needs to get done.

We look forward to reviewing your application and introducing you to Spuds Baseball in Casper, Wyoming!

Prepare the ballpark. Solve the problems. Make game day happen.
