Sparknify is seeking a confident, charismatic On-Site Field Interview Host to engage VIP guests, founders, investors, speakers, and attendees at our technology events. This part-time role is ideal for someone excited about the intersection of technology, media, and storytelling, especially those eager to build experience in the tech industry.

Role Overview

As our Field Interview Host, you will serve as the on-camera face of attendee engagement. You’ll move through the venue, approach guests naturally, conduct casual short interviews, and help capture the energy and voice of the event. Interviews may be done roaming or in sit-down format depending on the event setup.

These interviews are a crucial part of our post-event video content and will be used in recap films, promotional materials, highlight videos, and social media. This role may be performed with or without a dedicated cameraman present.

Responsibilities
   •    Conduct short, casual interviews with attendees, speakers, VIPs, and organizers
   •    Identify interesting subjects on-site and initiate conversations comfortably
   •    Represent Sparknify positively and professionally at all times
   •    Assist with planning interview segments and guiding interview flow
   •    Collaborate with production staff, event staff, and videographers when needed
   •    Maintain high energy, curiosity, and warmth throughout the event
   •    Participate in occasional sit-down interview segments
   •    Help gather authentic attendee opinions and perspectives
   •    Encourage participants to share insights about the event, their work, and the tech community

   •    Confident, energetic, articulate, and bubbly personality
   •    Comfortable speaking on camera and improvising
   •    Socially engaging and great with approaching people
   •    Passion for technology, innovation, startups, media, and storytelling
   •    Enjoys networking and meeting new people
   •    Pursuing a career in news reporting or brand spokesperson
   •    Able to stay calm and professional in dynamic environments
   •    Works well independently or with a small production team
   •    Previous hosting / interviewing experience a plus, not required
