Public Programs Intern
American Dialogues is hiring!
We are looking for an intern in our organization to help support our expanding public programming, communications, outreach, and evaluation.
The ideal candidate is a part of a team that values a creative, dynamic, and independent self-starter who shows strong interest or documented experience in the topics of polarization, civic discourse, and bridging political divides.
Basic Qualifications
- Familiarity with polarization, dialogue across difference, bridging, civic discourse, and related topics
- Desire to be part of a dynamic start-up and help it grow
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate with others
- Work around frequent and tight deadlines
- Comfortable with public programming and audience engagement in public spaces
- Ability to work quickly, independently, and reliably
- Strong self-organization, attention to detail, and proactive communication
- Confidence in approaching people for photos and short interviews in public venues
- Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings
